The Learning Activity Project (2010 -2012)

The Learning Activity Project
The Learning Activity Project is an initiative, funded by the Additional Funding Support from University Grants Commission for New Initiatives, to promote effective use of learning activities at the university.
The primary objectives of the project are:

  1. To understand more about the learning activities that students in each of the eight faculties have been taking part, ranging from formal and informal learning opportunities, resources and services that support their learning, and activities that they engage in during the process.
  2. To be partners with faculties at the university in identifying challenges in developing teaching strategies
  3. To work with faculties at the university and develop tactics that enhances learning experiences relating to challenges induced by the new curriculum.
  4. To provide resources and support for teachers to take advantage of.

In fulfillment of these objectives, the Learning Activity website gathered a database of examples, demonstrating successful conduct of learning activities at the university and institutions in overseas. It is believed that the website shall assist teachers in developing better activities for teaching by serving as a central unit for the exchange and documentation of useful learning activities.
